Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking a Time and Attendance Process SME for a hybrid role. You will drive governance, documentation, and process improvements across the company’s global footprint, collaborating with Payroll, HR, and IT to implement standardized T&A practices.

You will work with multiple country requirements, manage SOPs, and develop training materials while traveling for on-site workshops as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent business experience preferred.
• 5+ years’ experience with Time and Attendance processes and/or transformation.
• Experience with system implementations and process design projects.
• Strong analytical skills to critically evaluate information.
• Ability to work across functions and travel for on-site workshops.

Responsibilities

• Execute and support the design of Time and Attendance governance and process strategy to standardize, streamline and automate processes.
• Understand, analyze and document current T&A processes and evaluate them.
• Collaborate with system vendors and country teams to design global processes with localized versions.
• Understand system functionality to recommend process enhancements.
• Partner with IT to translate capabilities into T&A process changes.
• Own SOPs and training materials and drive implementation across the global footprint.
• Develop and maintain training materials and drive SOP training sessions.
• Communicate SOP updates to stakeholders as needed.
• Support Shared Services initiatives and policy-change impact assessments.
• Other tasks as assigned by the manager.

The Time and Attendance Process SME will assist in the execution of the global strategy for Time and Attendance (T&A) processing from input validation to variable pay calculations based on the guidance from their manager. The role will work closely with their Payroll and HR business colleagues to drive design discussions and support implementation. The role will partner with the local teams to execute the T&A strategy with primary focus being on managing business processes and driving business support training.

Your Responsibilities:

• Execute and support the design of T&A governance and process strategy with the aim to standardize, streamline and automate processes and standards to drive business efficiencies
• Understand, analyze and document current T&A processes and use various methods to evaluate them
• Collaborate with system vendors, local country teams, and shared service operation to design and document global processes and create localized versions meeting country business requirements and operational needs
• Understand the T&A system’s functionality to be able to recommend process enhancements to meet a continually changing environment
• Collaborate with IT to translate system capabilities into T&A process enhancements
• Partner across the organization on deployment, and maintenance of the T&A processes throughout the company’s global footprint
• Own global and local SOPs and job aids and gather, propose and support new requests to drive continuous improvement
• Develop and maintain training materials and drive training sessions on the SOPs
• Communicate updates to the SOPs to stakeholders as needed
• Represent T&A in Shared Services initiatives
• Support Operational teams in validation of impact of policy changes on SOPs
• Other tasks as assigned by the manager

Your Profile:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent business experience preferred
• 5+ years’ experience with T&A processes and/or transformation
• Experience with executing system implementations and process design projects
• Possesses strong analytical skills to critically evaluate information
• Must be a team player but also able to work independently
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships across functions to drive teams towards success-based results
• Must be focused, goal driven, accountable, and exhibit significant attention to detail
• T&A knowledge in multiple countries
• Project management or transformation experience
• Microsoft tools
• Multiple T&A vendor systems (UKG Pro and ADP Workforce Suite preferred)
• HCM systems, preferably Workday
• Preferably ticketing systems, such as ServiceNow
• Fluent English
• Advanced German
• Flexibility in working hours to cover global time zones
• Willingness to travel for on-site workshops
