Job summary

Teradyne in the Philippines is seeking an electronics technician to perform system-level and board-level assembly and conduct functionality testing, with responsibility for first-level maintenance and instrument isolation. You will disassemble/assemble instruments, participate in debugging and repair of defective boards, and collaborate with Test and Manufacturing Engineers to address process improvements, ECNs, and product transfers.

English proficiency is required, and local candidates only.

Qualifications

• Electronics Technology or Industrial Electronics graduates with board repair experience.
• Proficient in electronics board troubleshooting, desoldering and repair.
• Experience in hardware/software verification for testers is an advantage.
• Must be able to speak, read and write in English.

Responsibilities

• Perform system-level and board-level assembly and testing.
• Provide first-level system maintenance or instrument isolation.
• Assemble and disassemble instruments/boards as required.
• Debug and repair defective boards to ensure quality.
• Collaborate with Test Engineer and Manufacturing Engineer on processes, ECNs and improvements.
• Support new product transfers when needed.
• Provide remote support to other OPS sites/regions.

Opportunity Overview

• Familiar and can execute System level Assembly, Board level assembly and perform Functionality testing.
• He/She is likewise expected to do first level system maintenance or instrument isolation.
• Familiar and can execute Assembly and Disassembly of Instruments/boards
• Responsible in the debug and quality repair of defective boards.
• Other responsibilities also include working with the Test Engineer and Manufacturing Engineer in process requirements, process creation, quality improvements, reliability issues, as well as implementation of ECNs
• May support new product transfers
• Remote support to other OPS site/regions

All About You

• Electronics Technology or Industrial Electronics graduates with relevant experience in board repair
• Knowledgeable in electronics board troubleshooting, de/soldering and repair
• Experience in hardware/software verification for medium and high-end testers is an advantage
• Goal and results-oriented, assertive and hardworking
• Computer literate
• Must be able to speak, read and write in English.
• ETS800 Experience is a plus
