Job summary

Teradyne Philippines, Ltd. - Cebu is looking for a Test Repair Operator to ensure PCBA assemblies meet quality and performance standards.

You will perform tasks from handling to full test procedures, interfacing cables, powering systems, loading the correct test programs, and verifying results. The role requires keen attention to detail, an electronics background, and the ability to collaborate with Board Repair Specialists and Test Engineers to implement continuous improvements and deliver

Qualifications

• Electronics technology or industrial electronics degree with board repair experience.
• Knowledgeable in electronics board troubleshooting, soldering/desoldering, and repair.
• Experience with hardware/software validation and verification for testers is a plus.
• Goal-oriented, assertive, and hardworking.
• Computer literate.

Responsibilities

• Keen attention to details and 100% compliance to PCBA handling procedures.
• Run full test procedures of Teradyne PCBAs per defined procedures, including installing and loading programs.
• Interpret failure datalog and follow defined troubleshooting steps; escalate as needed.
• Perform repetitive defined testing and troubleshooting procedures to fix PCBA.
• Work with the Board Repair Specialist and Test Engineer on process improvements and reliability issues.
• Perform visual inspection to ensure units have been reassembled/reworked.

Opportunity Overview

As a Test Repair Operator you will be responsible for the following task but not limited to:

• Keen attention to details, 100% compliance to PCBA handling procedures, must be physically able to pick-up PCBA Assemblies and place inside a system or TBUs.
• Run the full test procedures of Teradyne PCBAs based on the define procedure. Doing so will include activities such as (but not limited to) installing PCBA assemblies into a test system or TBUs, connecting/disconnectinginterface cables, power supply cables, DIBs, and other necessary fixtures/cables, then loading and running the correct automated test program.
• Interpret failure datalog from test programs and follow a define troubleshooting steps to fix the PCBA; escalating to Technician, Engineer, or Supervisor for failures that are not yet defined.
• Run a number of define specific steps to properly fix the PCBA performing repetitive defined testing and troubleshooting procedures.
• Works with the Board Repair Specialist (BRS) and Test Engineer in process and quality improvements, reliability issues as well as meeting department/section goals.
• Perform visual inspection to ensure units has been reassembled/rework.

• Electronics Technology or Industrial Electronics graduates with relevant experience in board repair
• Knowledgeable in electronics board troubleshooting, de/soldering, and repair
• Experience in hardware/software validation and verification for medium and high-end testers is an advantage.
