Job summary

Teradyne in the Philippines is seeking a Test Repair Operator to support PCB assembly testing and repair activities. You will follow procedures to install PCBA assemblies into test systems, run automated programs, and interpret data logs to identify issues.

Candidates should have Electronics Technology or Industrial Electronics training, knowledge of soldering and board troubleshooting, and the ability to work with engineers on process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Ensure 100% compliance to PCBA handling procedures and physical ability to move PCBA assemblies into systems.
• Run full test procedures of Teradyne PCBAs using defined procedures and loading into test systems.
• Interpret failure datalog and follow defined troubleshooting steps; escalate as needed.
• Perform repetitive testing and troubleshooting to fix PCBAs.
• Collaborate with Board Repair Specialist and Test Engineer on process and quality improvements.
• Perform visual inspection to ensure proper rework and reassembly.

Opportunity Overview

As a Test Repair Operator you will be responsible for the following task but not limited to:

• Keen attention to details, 100% compliance to PCBA handling procedures, must be physically able to pick-up PCBA Assemblies and place inside a system or TBUs.
• Run the full test procedures of Teradyne PCBAs based on the define procedure. Doing so will include activities such as (but not limited to) installing PCBA assemblies into a test system or TBUs, connecting/disconnectinginterface cables, power supply cables, DIBs, and other necessary fixtures/cables, then loading and running the correct automated test program.
• Interpret failure datalog from test programs and follow a define troubleshooting steps to fix the PCBA; escalating to Technician, Engineer, or Supervisor for failures that are not yet defined.
• Run a number of define specific steps to properly fix the PCBA performing repetitive defined testing and troubleshooting procedures.
• Works with the Board Repair Specialist (BRS) and Test Engineer in process and quality improvements, reliability issues as well as meeting department/section goals.
• Perform visual inspection to ensure units has been reassembled/rework.
