Job summary

D & L Industries in the Philippines is seeking a dispatch and logistics officer to oversee door-to-truck movements, scheduling, and documentation across the plant and terminal.

You will coordinate with internal customers and haulers to ensure timely deliveries, monitor tanker movements, and maintain records for bulk cargoes, warehousing, and transfers.

Qualified graduates with at least one year in warehousing and dispatching and exposure to terminalling services are invited to apply.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year experience in warehousing, inventory and dispatching.
• Exposure to logistics and terminalling services.

Responsibilities

• Attend dispatching operations including scheduling, line-up, filling, sealing, weighing, documentation and plant transfers.
• Direct movement of trucks and ensure compliance with traffic, loading and safety rules.
• Oversee bulk cargo quantity/quality for inbound/outbound.
• Coordinate with internal customers on delivery schedules and forecasts.
• Coordinate with haulers for tanker availability and scheduling.
• Plan tanker turnaround to ensure full delivery.
• Recall documents for filing and distribute copies to recipients.
• Maintain oversight of company-owned tankers.
• Monitor tanker whereabouts and delivery status at customer sites.

Job description

I. Duties and Responsibilities

• Attend to the dispatching operations covering the various activities of in-plant scheduling of dispatches, pipe & valve line-up, filling, sealing, weighing, documentation and plant to plant transfers of product.
• Direct the conduct of movement of trucks and observance by the driver and terminal support personnel of the traffic, loading and safety rules and regulations pertinent to dispatching and receiving of product.
• Quantity and quality assurance oversight for bulk cargoes coming in, in storage and withdrawals from terminal.
• Coordination with internal customers relevant to the day to day delivery/transfer schedule and forecast.
• Coordination with haulers for road tankers' availability and schedule.
• Road tanker nomination and planning tanker turnaround to ensure 100% delivery outturn.
• Recall of documents for filling and distribution thereof copies to their respective recipients.
• Maintenance oversight on company owned tankers.
• Shift monitoring of road tankers whereabouts and delivery status at customer.

II. Qualifications

• Graduate of any 4-year course
• At least 1 year working experience in warehousing, inventory and dispatching
