Job summary

Quanta Philippines ROHQ designs and develops FTTH systems for residential and commercial use. The team prepares 2D drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams using AutoCAD, and operates mapping tools such as Google Earth, ArcGIS, and QGIS to create base maps.

The role interfaces with engineering and design teams to ensure efficient delivery of project drawings and documents while adhering to QA/QC procedures and industry standards.

Qualifications

• Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Proficient in MS Office and AutoCAD software operation.
• Familiar with base mapping software and mapping workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop FTTH system layouts and related structures for residential and commercial use.
• Prepare 2D drawings such as schematics and wiring diagrams using AutoCAD.
• Operate base mapping software (Google Earth, ArcGIS, QGIS) and create base maps.
• Create bills of materials for FTTH designs (aerial and underground routes).
• Coordinate with engineering and design teams to ensure timely delivery of drawings and documents.
• Verify QA/QC procedures to ensure quality drawings and deliverables.

Description:

• Designs and develops FTTH (Fiber to the Home) systems and its auxiliary structure for residential and commercial use.
• Prepares 2D drawings such as schematics, wiring diagrams, and other related drawings for the FTTH system using AutoCAD software.
• Can operate and have working experience on google earth, ARCGIS, QGIS or any base mapping software.
• Creates bill of materials for all aspects of FTTH design both on aerial and underground route.
• Interfaces with other engineering and design teams to provide efficient delivery of project drawings and documents.
• Verifies QA/QC procedures are met to ensure quality drawings and deliverables.

Qualifications:

• Must possess a bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering (BSECE) or any related courses.
• Minimum of 3 years’ proven experience in telecommunication technologies.
• Must be competent in MS office and AutoCAD software operation.
• Must be proficient in preparing 2D drawings particularly base mapping for telecom particularly fiber optic system design; technical specifications; and material take-offs.
• Must be familiar with common industry standards including IEEE, NEMA, ANSI, etc.
• Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills in the English language.
