Job summary

Trends Group, Inc. in Metro Manila is seeking a Senior Technology Engineer responsible for implementing, supporting, and managing networks and network security across our clients.

You will configure systems, document deployments, and troubleshoot issues, with a focus on both hardware and software. The role requires at least 2 years of leadership experience in network solutions, CCNA or equivalent certification, and hands-on work with Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco Firepower or Checkpoint.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of related experience leading the network and security solution implementations.

Responsibilities

• Implement and provide post-sales network and security solutions.
• Lead project implementations for network devices.
• Provide technical support via phone, email, or onsite.
• Coordinate with Project Manager and SDM on plans.
• Act as technical lead to ensure on-time project completion.

• Be available 24x7 for incidents and on-call rotation.

Job description

I. PURPOSE

Senior Technology Engineers are responsible for implementing, providing technical support and managing networks and network security of an organization. The role includes system configurations, documenting and managing the installation of a new network and network security, maintaining, and upgrading existing systems as necessary and troubleshooting network and network security related issues. Senior Technology Engineers deal with both hardware and software.

II. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for Implementation and Post-sales activities
• Involved in Project Implementation of Network and Security devices
• Provide consultation and phone/email/onsite technical support in ensuring customer satisfaction
• Work closely, coordinate and update plan of activities with immediate superior, Project Manager and SDM if working for project implementation and key accounts respectively
• Acts as technical lead on project implementation and ensures project completion based on agreed timeline
• Leads technical discussion with customer, principals, internal team and other stakeholders related to deployment approach and methodology, incidents, root cause analysis and other technical matters
• Use essential job tools and applications diligently
• Properly update and close all assigned service desk cases as fast, timely and efficiently as possible.
• Acquire training and certifications related to product assigned
• May attend to client meetings and conduct Proof of Concept (POC) to clients
• Creates reports, technical documentation including low level design documents
• Ensures availability on standby 24x7 for incident support calls. Willing to be assigned on a shifting schedule - working from home or onsite and willing to be part of the on-call rotation.
• Share knowledge and skills, provide technical guidance with other engineers
• Develop to become a Subject Matter Expert on assigned Network and Security product
• Acquire professional level of training and certifications related to product assigned and soft skills

III. QUALIFICATIONS

A. Minimum Education

B. Minimum Experience/Training

• With at least 2 years of related experience in leading the implementation and taking the lead support on any of the following product solution is preferred:
• Fortinet
• Palo Alto
• Cisco Firepower
• Checkpoint
• Routing and Switching
• Holder of CCNA certification or any associate level of certification on networking and/or network security
