Job summary

Whale Cloud Technology Philippines Inc. is seeking a QA/Testing professional to perform telecom product implementation and testing across functional, interoperability, and acceptance stages. You will update test results, define tests, and collaborate with global teams to ensure quality and timely delivery.

Ideal candidates hold a relevant degree, have knowledge of databases and OS concepts, and can communicate effectively in English. Mandarin is a plus.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Job description

Responsibilities:

• 1. Perform telecom product implementation, functional, interoperability, and acceptance testing (verify the required interfaces using Linux/UNIX/Windows Server high level languages).
• 2. Update and track tests results, issues and associated test frameworks in partnership with development team.
• 3. Define, create & execute manual and automated tests as needed for the entire business solution.
• 4. Identify, diagnose, report, and assist development team in resolving defects and verifying bug fixes.
• 5. Taking ownership of technical issues, and working with our R&D to resolve more advanced issues when necessary.
• 6. Collaborate with global test team members to ensure clarity on deliverables, establish QA practices and promote knowledge transfer. Provides feedback to improve the testability or design of an end-to-end business solution.
• 7. Facilitate communications between Customer teams, project manager and internal stakeholders
• 8. Participate in peer reviews and inspections of requirements documents. Participate in peer reviews of work products derived from requirements specifications to ensure that the requirements were interpreted correctly.
• 9. Managing processes and ensuring to achieve targets in time.
• 10. Collaboration with R&D experts and staff members responsible for operations at the production site.
• 11. Sustainable Customer Relationship Management (define specific customer demands and comply with them in the product implementation, technical advice, etc.)
• 12. Produce high quality documents and regular reports

Job Requirements:

• 1. Bachelor’s degree in a Telecommunication / IT / Computer Science/ Engineering / Mathematical discipline or relevant skills or equivalent professional experience. Fresh Graduates are welcome to apply.
• 2. General understanding of database management systems and operating systems.
• 3. SQL/ Oracle / Linux certifications or a college project that you were involved in is considered a plus.
• 4. Prefer candidates possessing commercial experience implementing software solutions on UNIX and Linux platforms.
• 5. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Able to communicate with peers and management.
• 6. Ability to interact with diverse customers in a multi-cultural environment.
• 7. Required language: English, candidate who can speak chinese is added advantage.

Preferred qualifications:

• 1. Candidates shall hold a minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related disciplines.
• 2. Proficiency in at least one of the following: databases (MySQL, PL/SQL), Linux, Python or Shell scripting.
• 3. Prior experience in telecommunication BSS projects is preferred.
• 4. Language requirement: English. Candidates with Mandarin speaking and reading ability are preferred.
• 5. Resourceful, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as a positive customer service mindset.
• 6. Self-motivated, a team player and capable of working independently.
