About the role

We are seeking an experienced technical professional with substantial hands‑on experience in the construction and infrastructure sectors, complemented by strong research, analytical, and technical writing capabilities. This position is suited to an established industry practitioner with a background in engineering, construction, infrastructure development, technical auditing, or related disciplines who can independently undertake complex technical research, evaluate industry practices, and produce high-quality research papers and professional publications. The successful candidate will combine practical industry knowledge with advanced research capabilities to investigate construction and infrastructure developments, assess engineering methodologies, identify project-related risks, and translate complex technical information into evidence‑based findings and recommendations. The role requires someone capable of independently managing research assignments from initial investigation through to the development of comprehensive technical reports and publication‑ready research papers, with minimal supervision.

Key responsibilities

• Independently conduct in‑depth research on construction, infrastructure, engineering practices, and industry developments

• Investigate infrastructure projects, construction methodologies, engineering standards, emerging technologies, and industry trends

• Analyse construction and infrastructure practices across different countries and regions, including regulatory environments, technical requirements, and industry standards

• Gather and synthesise information from academic journals, technical publications, government agencies, regulatory bodies, industry reports, and other credible sources

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Management, Infrastructure Engineering, or another relevant engineering or technical discipline

• At least 7–10 years of relevant professional experience in construction, infrastructure, engineering, technical auditing, or related industries

• Substantial hands‑on experience in engineering operations, construction activities, infrastructure projects, technical assessments, or industry auditing

• Demonstrated experience independently conducting technical research, investigations, or industry studies

• Proven experience preparing technical research papers, journal articles, white papers, industry publications, or comparable professional research outputs

• Experience reviewing engineering documentation, construction specifications, technical standards, and project-related requirements

• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, engineering practices, infrastructure development, and relevant regulatory frameworks

• Strong technical knowledge of construction, infrastructure, and engineering disciplines
