Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated is seeking a Technical Facility Coordinator for Work Dynamics in Bengaluru. The role focuses on supervising M&E installations, civil maintenance, and preventive maintenance programs, while coordinating with in-house teams and Contractors to deliver high-quality service.

You will review contractor practices, maintain documentation, and generate reports to support client satisfaction and continuous improvement efforts in a fast-paced facility environment.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Electrical/Mechanical/Civil Engineering essential.
• 5+ years Contract Administration experience desirable.
• Good people skills and ability to interact with diverse client staff.
• Knowledge of Occupational Safety requirements.
• Strong PC literacy and ability to manage daily activities in systems.
• Experience with continuous improvement initiatives.
• Experience with client reporting and preparation of reports.
• Diploma or Graduate in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with 3–5 years’ facilities management experience.
• Proven ability to work well in a team and drive improvements.

Responsibilities

• Support the Chief Engineer/Deputy Chief Engineer in managing M&E installations and civil maintenance.
• Prepare critical spares lists and plan inventory for maintenance.
• Implement preventive maintenance to reduce failures.
• Review M&E contractor practices to ensure quality.
• Maintain logbooks, checklists and PPM schedules.
• Manage downtime/breakdowns and ad-hoc M&E setups.
• Ensure contractors follow house rules and minimize client disruption.
• Handle shifts independently on Engineering matters.
• Daily reporting on M&E to Chief Engineer; generate service maintenance reports.
• Prepare inventory and purchasing of spares and consumables.
• Generate downtime and breakdown incident reports.

Technical Facility Coordinator Work Dynamics

• Support the Chief Engineer / Dy. Chief Engineer in managing the Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing installations & Civil maintenance within the facility
• Responsible for preparation of critical spares list for all installations as per manufacturer’s recommendations and plan for the inventory where the maintenance is carried out with in-house teams.
• Implement and oversee the pre-emptive maintenance program to reduce the risk of sudden failures of critical equipment.
• Assist the Chief Engineer to review the maintenance/service practices of M&E Contractors to deliver quality work practices in line with the manufacturer recommendations.
• Maintain the logbooks, checklists and PPM schedules for all M & E installations.
• Manage Downtime/ Breakdowns.
• Arrange for ad-hoc M&E set ups as per the client requirement from time to time.
• Ensure the contractors follow the house rules at all times and the projects are handled with minimum inconvenience to the Client.
• Assume AFM responsibilities if need arises.
• Responsible to handle the shifts independently on all Engineering related matters.
• Reporting Responsible for daily reporting on M & E to the Chief Engineer
• Generate Service maintenance reports on office equipments
• Generate Inventory and Purchasing of spares and consumables
• Generate Downtime and breakdown incident reports.

Education and Experience

• Tertiary qualifications in either Electrical/Mechanical/Civil Engineering essential
• Contract Administration experience of 5 yrs. or more desirable
• Very Good people skills and ability to interact with a wide range of client staff and demands
• Knowledge of Occupational Safety requirements
• Strong PC literacy and proven ability to manage daily activities using various systems
• Demonstrated experience with continuous improvement initiatives highly desirable
• Demonstrated experience with client reporting and preparation of reports required
• Diploma or Graduate in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering 3 - 5 years’ experience in facilities management
• Proven ability to function effectively as part of a team
• Proven ability to initiate and follow through with improvement initiatives.
