Job summary

The Virtual IT Professional Inc. is seeking a Technical Lead to guide delivery, architecture, and quality across customer engagements in a cloud-first environment.

You will mentor consultants, lead technical workshops, and ensure alignments with architectural standards while driving secure, scalable solutions end-to-end. Strong leadership and communication are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in software engineering, systems integration, or cloud development.
• 2+ years in a technical leadership or lead-consultant role.
• Expertise in enterprise integration patterns, microservices, distributed systems, and domain-driven design.
• Experience with REST/SOAP APIs, messaging, event streaming, and cloud integration services.
• Strong application development capabilities (.NET, C#, Node, etc.).
• Strong understanding of cloud compute, cloud storage, IaC (e.g., Bicep, ARM, Terraform).
• Proficiency with runtime models, CI/CD pipelines, secure coding practices, and cloud-native architectures.
• Knowledge of relational and NoSQL datastores, ORM, CQRS, and software design patterns.
• Experience in test automation and test strategy (BDD, automated regression, integration testing).
• Excellent stakeholder management skills and strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the technical delivery of customer projects and engagements.
• Direct consultants and engineers, assign technical tasks, ensure quality and timelines.
• Implement, configure, integrate, and deploy solutions per architectures and best practices.
• Ensure solutions are secure, scalable, reliable, and production-ready.
• Conduct technical reviews, QA, and validation of deliverables and deployments.
• Provide technical coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback to teams.
• Act as the primary technical contact for customers during delivery and workshops.
• Identify and resolve technical risks, issues, dependencies, and challenges.
• Lead deployments, cutovers, go-lives, and transition to operations/support.
• Contribute to standards, documentation, automation, and reusable assets.
