The Production Team Leader is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the production line, ensuring targets are met in terms of output, quality, safety, and efficiency. The role involves supervising production staff, coordinating tasks, monitoring performance, and addressing any issues that may affect productivity.
Production Management
Ensure daily production schedules are achieved according to plan.
Allocate tasks to production team members and monitor progress.
Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality standards.
Supervision & Team Coordination
Lead, motivate, and support production staff to achieve performance targets.
Conduct shift handovers and communicate production updates.
Monitor attendance, discipline, and work behavior of team members.
Quality Control
Ensure all products meet quality specifications before dispatch.
Coordinate with Quality Assurance (QA) for inspections and corrective actions.
Implement continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects.
Safety & Compliance
Enforce compliance with workplace safety rules and regulations.
Conduct safety briefings and ensure the proper use of PPE.
Report and address workplace hazards promptly.
Reporting & Documentation
Prepare daily production reports and submit to the supervisor.
Record machine downtime, rejects, and other production issues.
Recommend process improvements for efficiency.
College graduate or vocational course in Mechanical, Industrial, or related field (preferred).
Minimum of 2 years' experience in a manufacturing/production environment, with at least 1 year in a leadership role.
Knowledge of production processes, quality control, and safety standards.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
