Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health Global Business Services – Manila is seeking a Supervisor, Centralized Scheduling to lead the centralized scheduling team. You will ensure accurate schedules, appropriate coverage, and efficient operations within the ROC framework.

The role requires 3+ years in staffing/scheduling and a supervisory track record, with UKG experience preferred. A hybrid work model is offered, with opportunities to mentor teams and partner with department leaders.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience with staffing/scheduling software in a 24/7 healthcare setting.
• 3+ years experience in a lead or supervisory role with diverse stakeholders.
• UKG workforce management experience preferred.

Supervisor, Centralized Scheduling (GBS)

Primary Function/General Purpose of Position

TheSupervisor,CentralizedSchedulingprovidesleadership,oversight and subject matterexpertisetothe centralized scheduling team focused on schedule development and optimization fordesignated departmentssupported by the Resource Optimization Center (ROC)in Bon Secours Mercy Health. This role provides guidance and leadership to ensure teams balance andmaintainschedules appropriately,ensuringappropriate coverage, skill mix,and operational efficiency.This position works closely with department leaders, serves as an escalation point forteam members,coaches, mentors,trains and onboards and works with teams as well as department leaders to ensure accuracy of timecards, minimized staffing gaps and teams follow approved pay practices and policies.

Essential Job Functions

• Supervises associates that are assigned to the centralized scheduling team; supervises associates by recognizing and rewarding teamwork,eliminatingbarriers, securingresourcesand promoting problem-solving; supervises performance deficits of associates

• Ensures that all expectations for customer service are met; communicates with associates and leaders proactively, as well as when collaborative solutions are needed.

• Ensures all schedules meet established timing and coverage standards by completing during the designated balancing period, prior to schedule posting, whileoptimizingoperational efficiency andmaintainingrequired skill mix coverage.

• Leadsthe completion of department schedules within the electronic staffing systems ensuringaccurateand adequate daily coveragewhilecommunicatingand escalatingrecruitment needs based on projected volumes.

• Leads all post-schedule maintenance of departmental schedules within the electronic staffing system, ensuringaccurateand adequate daily coverage,maintainingoperational efficiency, andrequiredskill mix, and proactively communicating and escalating recruitment needs based on projected volumes.

• Provides leadership for premium pay practices, critical shift incentives andensuresall internal practices follow BSMH policies andprocesses;ensuresappropriate reportingneeds are complete and provided to BSMH leadership.

• Serves as an escalation point for associate questions;ROC shared email requests are completedin a timely manner;new hire communications areaccurateandtimely;and trains anddevelopmaterials for scheduling processes.

• Monitors program effectiveness andensuresteams meet KPIs as defined,as well as able to create reports on program goals.

• Demonstrates awareness and understanding ofUSlabor relations and CBA administration obligations andutilizeslaborteamwhen questions or concerns arise and partners appropriately toeliminateany organizational risk (if applicable).

Licensing/Certification

• UKG certification(preferred upon hirerequiredwithin 12 months of hire)
