Job summary

BDO Unibank, Inc. in the Philippines is seeking a Senior Manager to lead and mentor System Analysts and Testers in the Insurance Applications – BDO Life, based in Makati.

You will partner with the Business Unit (BU) and Information Technology Group (ITG) to deliver outputs on time, prioritize IT projects, and monitor delivery under the BDO SDLC. You will drive risk management and ensure outputs align with business strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree relevant to the job.
• At least 7 years of demonstrated global experience in the financial industry with business casing, business analysis and requirements definition, user testing, and test management.
• Willing to work onsite and be assigned in Makati.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage System Analysts and Testers of the section – Insurance Applications – BDO Life.
• Drive closer collaboration between the Business Unit (BU) and Information Technology Group (ITG).
• Drive and enable the team’s delivery of work outputs required from the Systems Analysis and Testing sub group.
• Partner with BU and ITG to deliver outputs on time and as expected.
• Assist in prioritization of IT Projects and initiatives as part of business/demand planning.
• Monitor the team’s execution and adherence to BDO SDLC and Governance Process.
• Develop deep knowledge and understanding of the BU strategy and objectives.
• Take ownership of managing team competency, project/task assignments and workload.
• Ensure outputs such as BR, FRS, Test Scripts, and related deliverables meet standards.
• Proactively manage risks and issues and escalate as needed.
• Provide inputs to continuous improvement and best practices in the section/unit.

Job Summary

• Responsible for helping drive stronger and closer collaboration between the Business Unit (BU) and Information Technology Group (ITG)
• Drive and enable the team’s delivery of work outputs required from the Systems Analysis and Testing sub group.

Key Responsibilities:

• Partner with relevant teams and groups across the Business Unit (BU) and Information Technology Group (ITG) and build professional working relationships that will help the BDO Life Section to deliver the outputs on time and as expected.
• Assist in prioritization of IT Projects and initiatives as part of business/demand planning of the unit.
• Monitor the team’s execution and adherence to BDO SDLC and Governance Process.
• Develop deep knowledge, appreciation and understanding of the BU strategy and objectives.
• Take ownership and accountability in managing the team competency, project/task assignments and workload in relation to the delivery needs.
• Accountable of the outputs of the team members.
• Enable the team to ensure delivery of detailed outputs such as BR, FRS, Test Scripts, etc…, as well as other initiatives that form part of the technology strategy and delivery roadmap
• Focus on delivering business need while compliant to the ITG enterprise standards and guardrails.
• Proactively manage risks and issues and execute timely escalations to Section and Unit Heads.
• Provide inputs to continuous improvement and best practices in the section/unit.
• High level satisfaction of the Business Unit in relation to IT services
