Job description
The Systems Engineer (SE) is responsible for providing technical expertise in Apple device management and endpoint administration while supporting customer engagement activities throughout the sales and solution lifecycle. This role involves collaborating with customers to assess technical requirements, develop tailored solutions, and deliver professional technical presentations and product demonstrations.
The Systems Engineer will serve as a trusted technical advisor, working closely with internal teams and clients to design, implement, and support solutions leveraging Apple and Microsoft technologies. The ideal candidate possesses strong technical knowledge, excellent communication and presentation skills, and the ability to effectively address both business and technical challenges in a customer-facing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary technical expert for Apple device management solutions, including device enrollment, configuration, networking, and security management.
- Provide technical consultation and support to internal sales teams and customers throughout the pre-sales and solution design process.
- Deliver professional technical presentations, product demonstrations, and solution walkthroughs tailored to customer requirements and business objectives.
- Collaborate with customers to assess technical challenges, operational requirements, and long-term infrastructure goals.
- Design and architect endpoint and infrastructure solutions leveraging Apple and Microsoft technologies.
- Analyze and recommend networking solutions, including device connectivity, bandwidth planning, and scalability considerations for current and future environments.
- Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot macOS and Windows operating environments.
- Stay current with emerging Apple, Microsoft, networking, and endpoint management technologies and industry best practices.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including solution proposals, statements of work (SOW), implementation plans, and knowledge base articles.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure successful solution deployment and customer satisfaction.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a technical selling role (e.g., Sales Engineer, Solutions Consultant).
- Proven experience in Apple device management, including device enrollment methodologies (e.g., Apple Business Manager/School Manager, manual enrollment).
- Strong working knowledge of macOS administration and troubleshooting.
- Experience with Windows administration and troubleshooting.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of and/or certification in Jamf (e.g., Jamf Certified Associate, Jamf Certified Tech, Jamf Certified Expert), Kandji, or MDM software is a plus.
- Other Certifications such as Technology based (i.e. Windows / Cisco) or Framework based (i.e. ITIL) is a plus.
