Job summary

Hammerjack Pty Ltd is seeking a Systems Analyst to develop and maintain banking application systems that meet user and audit specifications. The role involves coordinating preliminary designs and proposals while ensuring outsourced development aligns with IT standards.

The candidate will gather user requirements, translate them into technical specs, and work with Finacle and cloud platforms. Banking experience is preferred, with Java/.NET development skills and knowledge of AML/MLPP regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, CS or related field.
• Experience in systems analysis in banking or financial domains.
• Strong understanding of business requirements and translating them into technical specs.
• Familiarity with AML processes and MLPP regulations is a plus.
• Experience with Java/.NET development and banking software is preferred.

Job Summary

• Responsible for the development and maintenance of application systems to ensure that the systems developed are completed on time and meet user/audit specifications and requirements.
• Coordinates with other units in the preparation of preliminary designs and project proposals following IT standards.
• Responsible for the evaluation of software packages and the coordination with software developers to ensure that application systems contracted out for development meet IT standards and delivered as scheduled.

How will you contribute

• Gathers information on user requirements which will be used for systems analysis and designDesigns application modules/system based on user requirements and specifications by translating business requirements into technical specifications incorporating AML processes as stipulated in the MLPP compliance laws and regulations
• Develops file structures, interfaces, programs and reports specifications, file backup, recovery and archiving procedures
• Codes and compiles new and revised programs following the set standards and procedures specified by the systems development life cycle methodology, information security and audit
• Prepares test data and performs various tests to ensure error-free coding.
• Prepares test, conversion and implementation plans for approval of the immediate supervisor
• Develops and maintains systems documentation / manuals of the application systems
• Supervises file conversion
• Provides support and technical assistance to users of the application
• Conducts initial training to trainors / users of application system
• Recommends improvements to existing procedures in order to maximize effectiveness and efficiency when using the application system

What will make you successful

• Someone with experience in banking environment with the capacity to make efficient progress with their unit.
• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or any IT related course
• With at least 3 years experience in Systems Analyst in banking applications or systems and Development using Java or .NET
• Experience in Finacle is an advantage
• Experience in Cloud-based Platforms
