JOB TITLE: SYSTEMS ANALYST
Systems Analyst is responsible for gathering, designing and documenting Payroll and other HR related requirements and system enhancements. This involves creating and documenting user stories and test cases. The role requires close collaboration with the Development team, HR, and finance teams to implement system enhancements, ensure compliance with relevant laws, and provide user support.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Requirements Analysis and Documentation:
- Collaborate with clients to gather and document business requirements for Payroll and HRIS software implementation.
- Analyze client needs, workflows, and processes to identify system requirements and functional specifications.
- Create detailed documentation of payroll requirements, including data inputs, outputs, processing rules, and reporting needs.
System Configuration and Customization:
- Configure Payroll and HRIS software solutions based on client requirements and technical specifications.
- Assist in the customization of system settings, workflows, reports, and user interfaces to meet client-specific needs.
- Work closely with system developers and IT teams to ensure that payroll system designs are technically feasible and align with overall system architecture.
Testing and Quality Assurance:
- Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts to validate system functionality and performance.
- Conduct system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and regression testing to identify defects and ensure quality.
- Identify and troubleshoot defects, issues, and discrepancies, working closely with stakeholders to resolve them.
Documentation and Training:
- Create functional design documents, system configuration guides, and user documentation to support implementation activities.
- Conduct end-user training sessions to educate clients on system functionality, features, and best practices.
- Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting assistance to clients during and after implementation.
Project Management and Coordination:
- Work closely with project managers, systems analysts, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
- Participate in project planning, status meetings, and progress reporting to track project milestones and deliverables.
- Provide technical expertise, guidance, and support to project teams throughout the implementation lifecycle.
Continuous Improvement:
- Regularly review payroll system performance and identify opportunities for further optimization and enhancements.
- Stay updated on payroll regulations and technological advancements to ensure the payroll system remains compliant and up-to-date.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field.
- Proven experience in gathering requirements, designing enhancements, and conducting testing in payroll systems.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail, and problem-solving.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Strong understanding of payroll processes, compliance requirements, tax regulations, benefits administration, and HRIS functionality.
- Proficiency in Payroll and HRIS software platforms, MSSQL and other related databases, as well as reporting tools, is advantageous but not required.
