Job summary

NCS Philippines in Taguig is seeking a DevOps Engineer to support deployment, configuration, monitoring, and metrics, helping developers focus on building apps.

You will implement automated monitoring, performance tuning, and capacity planning while enabling CI/CD and rapid delivery with service guarantees. Collaboration with Development, QA, and Design teams will ensure viable, consistent solutions and high availability across environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in IT or related field.
• 2–3 years of DevOps experience.
• Understanding of and willingness to learn cloud (AWS) best practices; passion for automation and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, monitor, and measure performance of applications to free developers for core work.
• Develop automated solutions for on-call monitoring, performance, and capacity planning.
• Collaborate with Development, QA, and Technical Design to resolve issues and ensure viable, consistent solutions.
• Establish DevOps processes, practices, and tools to support CI/CD and timely delivery with service guarantees.
• Monitor and maintain application performance, capacity and availability; provide 3rd level support for incidents.
• Adopt agile/lean practices to accelerate service delivery within an integrated approach.
• Automate health and performance monitoring of core services and overall application health.
• Maintain high availability of production and non-production environments.
• Identify production issues and implement monitoring solutions to mitigate them.
• Other duties as assigned.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsibility would be to focus on deployment, configuration, monitoring, and metrics, freeing up the developer's time to develop the application.

• Develops automated solutions for operational aspects such as on-call monitoring, performance, and capacity planning.

• Collaborates with Development, Quality Assurance, and Technical Design teams to resolve issues and ensure solutions are viable and consistent.

• Establish DevOps processes, practices, and tools to empower and support Development & Quality Assurance teams in continuous deployment, continuous integration, and timely delivery with a service guarantee.

• Monitors, review and maintain application performance, capacity and availability, providing 3rd level of support for the resolution of application-related incidents and problems

• Focuses on rapid service delivery through the adoption of agile, lean practices in the context of an integrated approach.

• Automates the monitoring of the health and performance of core services and overall application health.

• Maintains high availability of production and non-production environments.

• Identifies issues in the production phase and system and implements monitoring solutions to overcome those issues.

• Other job related activities that may be assigned from time to time.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

• Education – At least graduate with a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in IT or any related course.

• Related Work Experience – At least 2-3 years of experience in DevOps, Experience with Lean/Agile development methodologies.
