Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, CS, CE, or related field.
• Proven experience as a Systems Administrator or in a similar IT infrastructure role.
• Strong Windows/Linux server administration experience.
• Knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, virtualization, and enterprise infrastructure.
• Experience with enterprise backup and recovery procedures.
• Knowledge of networking concepts including LAN/WAN, HTTP, caching.
• Experience with AWS cloud and ITIL/ITSM awareness.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Systems Administrator to maintain, secure, and optimize enterprise IT infrastructure. The role will be responsible for server administration, infrastructure monitoring, systems support, backups, troubleshooting, and technical operations.

You will work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure the availability, reliability, and performance of critical IT systems and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform server administration, including user/group management, security permissions, Group Policies, print services, and system configuration.

• Monitor system event logs, resource utilization, and infrastructure health; investigate and resolve warnings and errors.

• Monitor data center infrastructure and respond to hardware and system issues.

• Build, configure, test, maintain, and support servers and other infrastructure components.

• Maintain and support IT infrastructure such as servers, workstations, routers, switches, firewalls, printers, and related devices.

• Support LAN, WAN, Internet, Intranet, and network segments.

• Assist Help Desk and other technical teams with troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and resolution of infrastructure-related issues.

• Conduct routine and scheduled systems audits, health checks, and backup verification.

• Support enterprise backup and recovery processes.

• Create and maintain Service Transition documentation for Technical Operations teams, including updates for new projects and enhancements.

• Participate in infrastructure projects, system implementations, and technology initiatives.

• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to communicate project status, activities, and technical requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

• Proven experience as a Systems Administrator or in a similar IT infrastructure role.

• Strong experience in Windows/Linux server administration.

• Knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, virtualization, and enterprise infrastructure.

• Experience with enterprise backup and recovery procedures.

• Knowledge of systems performance monitoring and troubleshooting tools.

• Understanding of networking concepts, including HTTP traffic, LAN/WAN, content delivery, and caching.

• Experience in cloud computing, preferably AWS.

• Knowledge of application design, system integration, and infrastructure-related projects.

• Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills, particularly in large-scale or distributed environments.

• Experience with storage management, including creating volumes, assigning storage to servers, and remote replication.

• Familiarity with IT service management and Service Transition processes is an advantage.
