Job summary

DataOne seeks a System Administrator to install, configure, and maintain robust IT systems and infrastructure across Windows and Linux environments. You will monitor performance, implement backups, script in Bash/Python, and automate deployments with Ansible and GitLab CI/CD.

Collaborating with the CTO and IT Infrastructure team, you will help ensure security, reliability, and scalable operations for international projects while documenting configurations and procedures.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in System Administration, IT Infrastructure, or a similar technical position.
• Strong experience with Windows Server and Debian Linux.
• Good understanding of networking concepts, including L2/L3, VLANs, and firewalls.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
• Experience with infrastructure automation using Ansible.
• Knowledge of GitLab CI/CD.
• Scripting capabilities with Bash and/or Python.
• Experience with logging and monitoring environments.
• Knowledge of HAProxy, BIND, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, and LibreNMS is highly valued.
• Experience managing backups and disaster recovery processes.
• Strong troubleshooting and incident-resolution skills.
• Good understanding of IT security principles and best practices.
• Strong documentation and organizational skills.

YOUR ROLE

As a System Administrator, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, monitoring, and security of DataOne's IT systems and infrastructure.

Working closely with the CTO, IT Infrastructure team, and other technical teams, you will help ensure the availability, reliability, performance, and security of our systems.

You will also contribute to infrastructure automation, incident resolution, backup and disaster recovery, system documentation, and the continuous improvement of our IT environment.
