Job summary

DataOne is seeking a System Administrator in Davao, Philippines to install, configure, and maintain IT systems and infrastructure. You will work closely with the CTO and IT Infrastructure team to ensure reliability, performance, and security across the platform.

You will contribute to automation, incident resolution, backups, and documentation, while supporting a broad tech stack including Windows, Debian, Prometheus, Grafana, Ansible, GitLab CI/CD, databases, and networking.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in System Administration or IT Infrastructure.
• Strong experience with Windows Server and Debian Linux.
• Good understanding of networking concepts (L2/L3, VLANs, firewalls).
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
• Experience with infrastructure automation using Ansible.
• Knowledge of GitLab CI/CD.
• Scripting skills in Bash and/or Python.
• Experience with logging/monitoring environments.
• Knowledge of HAProxy, BIND, MariaDB/PostgreSQL, and LibreNMS is valued.
• Experience with backups and disaster recovery.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain physical/virtual servers (Windows/Linux).
• Deploy, configure, and maintain software and OS images.
• Monitor systems for high availability and performance.
• Manage backups and disaster recovery plans.
• Troubleshoot incidents and optimise resolutions.
• Automate deployments and configurations (Ansible, GitLab CI/CD).
• Maintain Windows Server and Debian environments.
• Support networks (L2/L3, VLANs, firewalls).
• Implement monitoring with Prometheus and Grafana.
