Are you a sustainability-focused engineer looking to develop your skills in energy performance, thermal modelling and sustainable design?

This role is open to both recent graduates and engineers with existing experience. What matters most is a genuine interest in sustainability, a willingness to learn and the drive to produce work that is accurate and well-considered.

As Sustainability Engineer at Black & White Engineering, you will support our Manila team across feasibility studies, energy reports and BREEAM-related work on a range of critical buildings and infrastructure projects.

Technical breadth

You will undertake thermal modelling, support BREEAM assessors, compile feasibility studies and contribute to energy reports across a variety of project types. It is a technically varied brief that will develop your skills across multiple areas of sustainable design from early in your career.

Based in Manila, you will collaborate with sustainability and engineering colleagues across our global offices as project needs require. It is a role that builds international working experience and gives you a strong understanding of how sustainability is approached across different markets.

Client-facing opportunities

You will prepare and present technical briefings to clients and colleagues, developing your ability to communicate sustainability concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. It is an opportunity to build confidence and visibility early in your career.

Structured CPD and development

You will pursue an active CPD programme, attending training and seminars to build your knowledge of sustainability practice and MEP engineering principles. Essential Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Interest in or experience of sustainability, energy performance and BREEAM.
• Experience with thermal modelling software, preferably IESVE, or a willingness to develop this skill quickly.
• Familiarity with data centre environments or critical infrastructure projects is desirable but not essential.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and the ability to work with IT-based calculation and spreadsheet tools.
• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise your own workload and deliver accurate work to deadlines.
