TRANSMEDIC PHILIPPINES, INC. is seeking an Orthopedic Technician to provide technical support to physicians and assist in routine surgical procedures. The role ensures safe handling of Arthrex Arthroscopy equipment and keeps inventory within the assigned territory.

Responsibilities

• Assist orthopedic surgeons during sports procedures.
• Provide technical and clinical direction to staff regarding orthopedic equipment operation, application and safety.
• Maintain and safeguard Arthrex Arthroscopy tower and instruments.
• Prepare surgical sets and implants with final checks before team arrival.
• Prepare and submit invoices for OR billing and related records.
• Adhere to laws, policies and SOPs for interaction with healthcare professionals, product handling and complaints.
• Maintain professional appearance and conduct at all times.
• Collaborate with sports division and other departments.
• Ensure knowledge of PSI priority products, technical information, and messaging.
• Cope with job stress and perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

OVERVIEW OF THE POSITION:

Also act as Orthopedic Technician that provides technical support to Physicians, Physician Assistants, and Nurse Practitioners in the delivery of standard orthopedic practice and assisting in routine surgical procedures. All work is performed under the supervision of a physician or appropriate licensed practitioner. Will be responsible as inventory custodian to their assigned territory and ensure safekeeping of TMI Orthopedics products.

1. Assist orthopedic surgeons during different sports procedures.

2. Provides technical and clinical direction and support to nursing staff and physicians on orthopedic equipment operation, application, and safety.

3. Maintaining and safe keeping of Arthrex Arthroscopy tower and instruments

4. Prepare sets and implants inside the OR with final check before the surgical team is in place.

5. Prepare and submit invoices (to OR billing and return copy of SI to the office)

6. Strictly adheres to all laws and PSI's policies and SOPs regarding the interaction with HCP’s (Health Care Professionals), product handling and complaints, expense reporting, sales activities and training.

7. Maintain professional appearance and personal conduct at all times.

8. Work as a team member within the sports division and other departments in the field.

9. To ensure outstanding personal and team knowledge, and understanding of PSI priority products, technical information, product strategy, positioning, key messages and programs.

10. Effectively cope with typical job stress.

11. Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

Education: Graduate from Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Nursing, Business Administration, or any related field.

Experience: Exposure to hospital and sports and orthopedic settings are an advantage. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
