Job Title: Supply Chain & Freight Logistics Coordinator

Location: Remote

Reports To: Chief Sourcing Officer / Product Development Team

Work Shift: Flexible with overlap during US business hours preferred

Working Hours: Full-Time (30 hours/week with potential to scale)

Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Supply Chain & Freight Logistics Coordinator to support the day-to-day freight, logistics, and supply chain operations of a growing ecommerce accessories brand.

This role will work closely with our product development and sourcing teams to coordinate the movement of goods from manufacturing partners in China through freight partners and into our operations. The position will be responsible for sourcing and comparing freight options, maintaining communication with freight forwarders and carriers, tracking shipments, preparing required shipping information and documentation, and proactively resolving issues that could delay inventory.

The role will also provide secondary support across purchase order management, inventory adjustments, and related supply chain administration.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience coordinating international freight and understands how to keep shipments moving efficiently across suppliers, freight forwarders, carriers, and internal teams.

This is primarily an execution and coordination role. Success requires exceptional organization, attention to detail, proactive communication, and the ability to identify and resolve logistics issues before they disrupt the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate international freight shipments from manufacturing partners to their destinations
• Coordinate the consolidation of goods from multiple suppliers into combined shipments to optimize freight costs, timing, and forwarding efficiency
• Source, compare, and evaluate freight options based on cost, timing, and operational requirements
• Communicate regularly with freight forwarders, carriers, and logistics partners
• Coordinate with FedEx, UPS, freight forwarders, and other shipping providers
• Track active shipments and maintain accurate, up-to-date freight trackers
• Monitor shipment status, ETAs, delays, and exceptions
• Proactively follow up with logistics partners to keep shipments moving on schedule

Shipping Documentation & Customs Support

• Prepare and coordinate required information for commercial invoices and shipping documentation
• Ensure freight partners receive accurate and complete shipment information
• Support customs clearance processes and help resolve documentation-related delays
• Maintain organized freight, shipment, and logistics records
• Identify documentation issues before they result in shipment holds or delays
• Research and source potential new freight forwarders and logistics providers
• Request and compare freight quotes
• Maintain communication with existing logistics partners
• Help evaluate freight options based on service, cost, and reliability
• Escalate recurring carrier or freight issues to leadership when necessary

Purchase Order & Inventory Support

• Support purchase order management and order transfers
• Maintain accurate PO and shipment information across internal systems
• Process inventory adjustments as needed
• Coordinate with product development and sourcing teams on inventory movement
• Help maintain visibility across inbound inventory and supply chain activity

Operational Coordination & Reporting

• Maintain accurate trackers and reporting for active freight and logistics activity
• Coordinate information between factories, internal product development teams, and logistics partners
• Flag delays, risks, missing information, and operational issues proactively
• Help improve logistics workflows and documentation as the business scales

Qualifications

Required

• 3+ years of experience in freight logistics, supply chain operations, import/export coordination, or a related role
• Hands-on experience coordinating international freight shipments
• Experience working with freight forwarders, carriers, and logistics providers
• Experience managing inbound shipment coordination and tracking
• Experience coordinating shipment consolidation across multiple suppliers, factories, or origin points
• Understanding of commercial invoices, shipping documentation, and customs-related workflows
• Experience coordinating freight originating from China or other Asian manufacturing markets
• Experience requesting and comparing freight quotes
• Experience sourcing and evaluating new freight forwarders
• Experience maintaining shipment trackers and logistics reporting
• Experience with purchase orders and supply chain documentation
• Strong spreadsheet and data management skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
• Familiarity with inventory adjustments and inventory management workflows
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to proactively resolve logistics issues
• Ability to work independently while coordinating across multiple stakeholders
