We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our growing team. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of goods throughout our supply chain. As a Logistics Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating various aspects of logistics operations, including inventory management, shipment scheduling, and vendor communication. Your work will directly support our production and distribution objectives, making this role essential to our operational success and customer satisfaction.
Coordinate and schedule shipments, ensuring timely delivery of products to customers and manufacturing facilities
Monitor inventory levels and maintain accurate records of stock movements across all locations
Communicate with suppliers, carriers, and internal departments to ensure smooth logistics operations
Arrange transportation of goods and negotiate rates with logistics service providers
Track shipments and resolve any delivery issues or discrepancies that arise
Prepare and process shipping documentation, including bills of lading and customs documents where applicable
Maintain and update logistics databases and systems to ensure data accuracy and accessibility
Assist in planning warehouse operations and optimising storage space utilisation
Support cost reduction initiatives by identifying logistics efficiencies and alternative solutions
Liaise between production, sales, and warehouse teams to ensure coordination and alignment
Proven experience in a logistics coordination or similar supply chain role, ideally within the manufacturing, transport or production sector
Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with proficiency in liaising across departments and external partners
Proficiency in logistics management systems and Microsoft Office applications
Sound knowledge of inventory management principles and warehouse operations
Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and documentation
Problem-solving ability and flexibility to adapt to changing operational requirements
A valid driver's licence is desirable and may be required for some aspects of the role
Basic understanding of customs and import/export regulations is advantageous
