Qualifications

Job description
Turnover and coordinate daily with the next shift Substation Engineer and Plant Operation and Maintenance and other service providers during normal and abnormal conditions in relation to the operation and maintenance of the plant.
Coordinate with the Grid/Utility for required reports and requirements during shift
Coordinate with the Grid/Utility during planned and unplanned isolation/energization during shift
Coordinate and conduct of joint meter readings with Plant Operations during shift
Switching operation of Substation Equipment (115kV and 22kV) during normal and abnormal conditions, per instruction from authorized personnel.
All isolation and restorations of line and/or any equipment should comply with an approved switching sequence
Documentation of all switching operations performed
Monitoring of Operational Parameters on Plant Equipment
Gathering of initial information such as but not limited to annunciator panel indication, relay/protection actuated, relay targets (both sides of the zone for transmission line), weather, lightning arrester counters, and visual observations at switchyard.
Immediate reporting on all fault incident including the initial information and coordination to different functional group in the Plant Operation.
Hourly updating on the status of rectification being made until line/equipment is normalized on any sustained faults. All details of the tripping incident shall be recorded in an applicable form and on the operations logbook
Conduct the Daily, Weekly and Monthly Preventive Maintenance Schedules as specified in the Owner’s O & M manual.
Qualifications Summary
