Job summary

D2B is seeking a Structural Steel Detailer to produce critical shop drawings and 3D models for complex steel projects. You will work from site measures to BIM models, ensuring the detailing aligns with fabrication and erection sequences.

You will manage RFIs and coordinate closely with engineers and the project team to keep projects on the critical path. Ideal candidates have proven detailing experience on built structures, strong Tekla or similar 3D detailing skills, and a solid grasp of

Qualifications

• Proven structural steel detailing experience on built projects.
• Working proficiency in a 3D detailing package (Tekla preferred).
• Solid understanding of fabrication/erection processes and fit-up.

Responsibilities

• Produce 3D models and full shop drawings set: general arrangements, assemblies, parts, DXF, IFC models, cutting lists.
• Interpret drawings, identify clashes, and issue RFIs with follow-up.
• Maintain drawing registers, revisions, and client title block standards.
• Coordinate with Fabrication Manager, Project Manager, and Site Leaders on constructability and sequence.
• Support site crews with fit-up issues and design clashes as they arise.
