Job summary

D2B is seeking a Structural Steel Detailer for a New Zealand client. This remote role involves producing shop drawings and 3D models for commercial/industrial projects up to 100 tonnes. You will own allocated jobs from site measure to issue log, working with engineers and workshop teams.

Experience in Tekla Structures is preferred; knowledge of NZ codes is a plus. This is a full-time independent contractor position with flexible remote work.

Qualifications

• Proven structural steel detailing experience on built projects.
• Proficient in a 3D detailing package; Tekla preferred.
• Understanding of steel fabrication and erection processes.
• Ability to liaise directly with engineers and head contractor staff.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work to fixed dates.

Responsibilities

• Produce 3D models and full shop drawings with assemblies and plates.
• Take site measurements on live and occupied sites.
• Coordinate with Fabrication Manager and Site Team Leaders.
• Manage drawing registers, revisions and issue logs.
• Support workshop and site crews during fabrication and erection.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements on site.
