Artelia Philippines is seeking a Structural Design Engineer to lead BIM-based structural modeling using Tekla Structures, covering steel and reinforced concrete works. The role emphasizes producing constructible 3D models, connections, rebar detailing, and fabrication drawings from concept through construction documents.

Qualifications

Responsabilités

• Develop detailed 3D structural models in Tekla for steel and RC components.
• Prepare shop drawings, general arrangement drawings, and fabrication drawings.
• Perform steel connection detailing and rebar detailing as per standards.
• Generate MTO and quantity reports from Tekla models.
• Coordinate with design engineers and BIM teams to ensure clash-free models.
• Review models and drawings for code compliance and quality standards.

POSITION PURPOSE:

The Structural Design Engineer will be primarily responsible for BIM-based structural modeling, detailing, and drawing production using Tekla Structures, with a strong focus on both steel and reinforced concrete works. The role involves developing accurate and constructible 3D models, including connections, rebar detailing, and fabrication drawings, supporting projects from conceptual design through to detailed design and construction documentation.

The position requires active participation in technical decision-making, ensuring model integrity, coordination with multidisciplinary teams, and adherence to project timelines and international design standards.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop detailed 3D structural models in Tekla Structures for both steel and reinforced concrete components, ensuring accuracy and constructability
• Prepare shop drawings, general arrangement drawings, and fabrication drawings based on Tekla models
• Perform steel connection detailing and rebar detailing in accordance with project specifications and applicable design standards
• Generate Material Take-Off (MTO) and quantity reports directly from Tekla models
• Create and optimize custom components, templates, and drawing settings to improve modeling and documentation efficiency
• Coordinate with design engineers, BIM teams, and other disciplines to ensure proper integration and clash-free models
• Review and validate models/drawings to ensure compliance with project requirements, codes, and quality standards
• Support design development from conceptual stage to detailed design and construction documentation
• Participate in technical discussions and coordination meetings related to structural design, constructability, and scheduling
• Assist in resolving technical issues, model clashes, and design revisions during project execution
• Ensure timely delivery of outputs in line with project schedules and milestones

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
• At least 5–7 years of hands-on experience in Tekla Structures, with strong expertise in both:
• Steel detailing (connections, fabrication drawings, assemblies)
• Reinforced concrete modeling and rebar detailing
• Proven experience in delivering high-quality, detailed 3D BIM models and shop drawings for structural projects
• Advanced proficiency in Tekla Structures, including:
• Custom components creation
• Template and drawing automation
• Model coordination and clash resolution
• Strong experience in Material Take-Off (MTO) and quantity extraction from Tekla models
• Experience in bridges, geotechnical structures, or infrastructure projects is highly preferred
• Familiarity with international standards and best practices in structural detailing is an advantage
