Our Clients in Ortigas, Pasig is seeking a Tekla BIM Detailer responsible for developing accurate reinforcement models and detailed drawings using Tekla Structures, translating structural requirements into 3D rebar models for fabrication.

The role emphasizes quality control, BIM coordination with MEP and structural teams, and timely delivery of shop drawings and schedules for large-scale projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or related field.
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience using Tekla Structures for reinforcement modeling.
• At least 3 years experience in rebar detailing for concrete structures.
• Experience producing reinforcement shop drawings or bar bending schedules.
• Experience coordinating with structural engineers, fabricators, BIM teams.
• Experience working on international projects is an advantage.

Job Description:

The Tekla BIM Detailer is responsible for developing accurate and detailed reinforcement models and drawings using Tekla Structures. The role will translate structural and engineering requirements into detailed 3D rebar models and fabrication-ready drawings while ensuring compliance with project specifications, design standards, and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Rebar Modeling and Detailing

• Develop detailed 3D reinforcement models using Tekla Structures based on structural drawings, engineering designs, specifications, and project requirements.
• Create accurate reinforcement layouts for concrete structures, including beams, columns, slabs, walls, footings, foundations, and other structural elements.
• Model reinforcement bars, couplers, meshes, embeds, and other relevant reinforcement components.
• Apply appropriate bar sizes, spacing, bending shapes, laps, anchorage, hooks, and other reinforcement requirements based on project specifications.

Drawing Production and Documentation

• Prepare clear and accurate rebar shop drawings, fabrication drawings, placing drawings, and bar schedules.
• Generate plans, sections, elevations, and reinforcement details required for fabrication and site installation.
• Ensure drawings contain appropriate dimensions, bar marks, annotations, quantities, references, and other required information.
• Review drawings and models for completeness, accuracy, consistency, and constructability before submission.

Structural Drawing Interpretation

• Review structural and architectural drawings to understand project requirements and reinforcement details.
• Interpret engineering plans, sections, details, specifications, schedules, and design notes.
• Identify discrepancies, missing information, clashes, and potential constructability issues in the design.
• Coordinate with engineers or senior detailers when clarification is required before proceeding with detailing.

BIM Coordination

• Coordinate rebar models with structural, architectural, MEP, and other BIM models to identify and resolve clashes.
• Participate in BIM coordination and model review activities.
• Identify conflicts involving reinforcement, embeds, openings, sleeves, structural members, and other building components.
• Implement approved coordination changes into the Tekla model.

Quality Control

• Conduct self-checking and quality reviews of rebar models and drawings before submission.
• Verify reinforcement quantities, bar sizes, spacing, dimensions, bar marks, bending shapes, and detailing requirements.
• Ensure models and drawings follow project standards, detailing guidelines, and applicable codes.
• Check for modeling errors, duplicate bars, missing reinforcement, incorrect bar lengths, and inconsistencies between drawings and models.

Project Delivery

• Complete assigned modeling and detailing activities within agreed timelines and quality standards.
• Monitor progress against project schedules and communicate potential delays or technical concerns.
• Ensure all required drawings, models, schedules, and supporting documents are completed before submission.
• Assist in resolving detailing issues that may affect fabrication, construction, or installation.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction, Structural Engineering, or a related built-environment field.
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience using Tekla Structures for structural or reinforcement modeling.
• At least 3 years of experience in rebar/reinforcement detailing, preferably involving concrete structures.
• Experience producing reinforcement shop drawings, fabrication drawings, or bar bending schedules.
• Practical experience interpreting structural drawings and engineering specifications.
• Experience working on large-scale building, infrastructure, commercial, industrial, or concrete structural projects.
• Experience producing shop drawings for fabrication and site installation.
• Experience coordinating with structural engineers, fabricators, contractors, and BIM teams.
• Experience working with international projects or clients is an advantage.
