Job summary

SYSTRA is seeking a Structural Bridge Engineer to perform calculations, modeling and analysis for horizontal structures, preferably railways and bridges. The role requires strong knowledge of design codes and experience with major structural software tools.

You'll collaborate with architecture, MEPF and other teams to ensure safe, cost-effective designs, while maintaining quality standards across international projects.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of local and international structural codes and design criteria.
• Proficient with MIDAS, ETABS, STAAD for analysis and design.
• Experience with SAFE or similar foundation design software.
• Familiarity with RAMCon or equivalent connection design tools.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks for 3D modeling and review.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety, constructability and cost effectiveness of designs.

The Structural Bridge Engineer will perform structural engineering calculations, modeling and analysis

Missions/Main Duties

• Perform structural engineering calculations, modeling and analysis;
• Solve problems of moderate to high level complexity in accordance with project requirements;
• Ensure safety, constructability and cost effectiveness of the design;
• Understand applicable codes and specifications;
• Coordinate with different disciplines such as Architectural and MEPF; and
• Report necessary information to immediate supervisor/manager.

Profile/Skills

• Knowledge of discipline local and international codes (NSCP, PD 1096, DPWH DGCS, ACI, AISC, ASCE, UBC, AASHTO, BS EN, etc.) or project specific standards, specifications, design criteria and construction methodology;
• Knowledgeable with MIDAS, ETABS, STAAD or equivalent structural software for analysis and design.
• Knowledgeable with SAFE or equivalent foundation design software.
• Knowledgeable with FEA and RAMCon or equivalent connection design software;
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks or equivalent 3D viewer software;
• Advanced computer and software skills (structural analysis sowares and spreadsheets);
• Analytical and problem solving skills, and spatial ability; and
• Consistent initiative.

Registered professional with at least three (3) years of related experience in the design of horizontal structures, preferably railways and bridges.
