Job summary

First Philec, Inc is seeking a sourcing professional responsible for technical sourcing and specification analysis to ensure supplier quotations meet both technical and commercial requirements. You will work with Engineering and end-users to optimize specifications, reduce total cost, and drive supplier development initiatives.

You will assess supplier capabilities, participate in RFQ/RFP processes, conduct bid evaluations, and negotiate terms with a focus on TCO, quality, and risk mitigation.

Qualifications

• Ability to understand engineering drawings, BOMs, SOWs and other technical requirements.
• Experience evaluating supplier quotations for technical compliance and cost competitiveness.
• Experience challenging over-specified requirements and identifying fit-for-purpose alternatives.
• Knowledge of supplier qualification, market scanning and competitive bidding.
• Ability to perform apple-to-apple comparisons of supplier proposals considering TCO.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical sourcing and specification analysis to ensure quotations are compliant and comparable.
• Engage with engineering and end-users to optimize specifications and reduce total cost without compromising safety or quality.
• Assess supplier technical capabilities, processes, equipment, and quality systems.
• Lead strategic sourcing and supplier development, including RFQ/RFP, bidder evaluation, and negotiations.
• Conduct technical-commercial bid evaluation focusing on TCO, warranties, support, risks.
