Job summary

Base One Industrial Sales Inc. seeks an experienced procurement professional to manage technical sourcing and supplier relationships in the Manila area.

You will identify qualified suppliers globally, evaluate bids against technical specs, and optimize cost and delivery with cross-functional teams. You will handle purchase orders, monitoring from request to delivery, maintain supplier performance data, and ensure compliance with company procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience in supplier sourcing and evaluation.
• Ability to negotiate pricing and terms.
• Knowledge of procurement policies and supplier databases.
• Experience coordinating with Technical, Sales, Operations, and Engineering teams.
• Familiarity with importing and logistics documentation.

Responsibilities

• Source qualified local and international suppliers for technical products, machinery, spare parts, and MRO.
• Evaluate suppliers on price, quality, lead time, and after-sales support.
• Develop and maintain a reliable supplier network and database.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and warranties.
• Identify alternative suppliers to improve cost competitiveness.
• Review technical specs, drawings, catalogs, and datasheets.
• Evaluate quotations to meet required specifications.
• Compare brands, models, and materials for suitability and value.
• Coordinate with Technical, Sales, Operations, and Engineering teams for requirements.
• Communicate technical requirements to suppliers clearly.
• Prepare and process purchase orders per policy and procedures.
• Verify requisitions, quotations, specs, pricing, and documents before ordering.
• Monitor purchase orders from placement to shipment and delivery.
• Follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery.
• Coordinate shipping, logistics, and import documentation for technical items.
• Maintain purchasing records, supplier files, and invoices.
• Update supplier database and reference files.
• Prepare regular purchasing, supplier, delivery, and cost reports.
• Assist in monitoring procurement budgets and expenditures.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
• Monitor supplier performance on quality, pricing, and responsiveness.
• Assist in supplier accreditation and periodic performance reviews.
• Recommend corrective actions or alternate suppliers when needed.
