The Strategic Solutions Manager is responsible for developing and presenting innovative, technically sound, and commercially viable solutions for architectural, engineering, construction, and interior fit-out projects. The role bridges client requirements with the company’s technical capabilities by leading solution development, pre-construction support, technical proposals, value engineering, and project costing.
The position works closely with clients, architects, engineers, project managers, business development teams, and other stakeholders to ensure proposed solutions align with project requirements, budget, quality standards, and business objectives.
Analyze client requirements, project specifications, drawings, and technical documents to identify project needs and develop appropriate solutions.
Develop strategic technical and commercial solutions for corporate fit-out, design-and-build, MEPF, engineering, and construction projects.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, designers, project managers, and business development teams to develop integrated project solutions.
Lead the preparation of technical proposals, project methodologies, scope of work, presentations, and bid documents.
Provide technical and strategic support during pre-construction, tender, and bidding activities.
Review project plans, specifications, and scope requirements to identify technical risks, cost considerations, and opportunities for improvement.
Lead or support project costing, value engineering, and solution optimization to develop cost-effective alternatives without compromising quality or functionality.
Participate in client meetings, presentations, and technical discussions to understand requirements and present proposed solutions.
Act as a technical and strategic point of contact for clients throughout the solution development and pre-construction stages.
Provide technical clarification and recommendations in response to client requirements, project specifications, and tender queries.
Conduct site visits and technical assessments when required to validate existing conditions and project requirements.
Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, consultants, and internal teams to validate proposed materials, systems, costs, and technical solutions.
Ensure proposed solutions comply with applicable building codes, engineering standards, safety requirements, and project specifications.
Identify opportunities for process improvements, innovative solutions, and alternative construction methodologies that can enhance project value.
Support the Business Development team in identifying potential project opportunities and developing customized solutions for clients.
Assist in evaluating project feasibility, technical requirements, risks, resources, and implementation strategies.
Prepare technical reports, cost comparisons, solution presentations, and other documentation for client and management review.
Maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders to understand their evolving project requirements and identify opportunities for future engagements.
Stay updated on industry trends, construction technologies, materials, MEPF systems, workplace solutions, and emerging practices relevant to the company’s services.
Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, or a related engineering field.
PRC Licensed Engineer is preferred.
Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in technical solutions, pre-construction, technical sales, engineering design, workplace strategy, commercial fit-out, or construction projects.
Experience in corporate fit-out, design-and-build, engineering consultancy, or commercial construction is highly preferred.
Experience in project costing, value engineering, technical proposal preparation, bidding, and solution development is an advantage.
Strong knowledge of MEPF systems, commercial interior fit-out, construction methodologies, building codes, and workplace solutions.
Strong understanding of project costing, value engineering, technical proposal development, bid support, and project solution development.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, MS Project, or other engineering/project management software is an advantage.
