Job summary

Universal Robina Corporation is hiring a Risk Operations Officer to lead enterprise-wide insurance and credit risk initiatives, overseeing non-life insurance programs, claims administration, and AR management. The role involves strategic advisory to senior leaders, cross-functional coordination, and ensuring policy compliance.

The position supports URC International transactions and reports on key risk metrics, with an emphasis on reducing exposure and optimizing terms.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Finance / Business Management / Accounting.
• Strong understanding of non-life insurance claims processes and credit risk exposure management.
• Demonstrated experience in reviewing and managing insurance policies and coordinating with brokers and insurers.
• Good communication skills – both verbal and written.
• Highly organized with a methodical and orderly approach to tasks and documentation.
• Strong analytical and risk management skills; able to discern risks and opportunities and provide sound recommendations.
• Can work within minimal supervision and deliver results within tight timelines.
• Collaborative and dependable team player with strong coordination and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with shared services or outsourced AR management is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Insurance Policy Management (Non-Life – PH & International): Lead renewal and procurement of policies covering assets and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Insurance Claims Administration: Manage and oversee claims with values reaching hundreds of millions; coordinate with senior leadership.
• Credit and Accounts Receivable Management: Monitor receivables and credit risk exposure; oversee shared service team.
• Support to URC International Transactions: Handle transactions and documentation for URC International Units.
• Reporting and Analysis: Prepare reports on renewals, claims, and risk exposure; provide insights to treasury decisions.
• Process Improvement and Compliance: Identify improvements in insurance and AR risk processes and ensure compliance.
• Other Duties: Support treasury functions and cross-functional initiatives.
