Job summary

Austal Philippines is seeking a procurement professional to efficiently secure goods and services for the company, balancing time, quality and cost.

In this role you will manage PR-PO processes, obtain supplier quotes, assess offers, and drive on-time delivery while ensuring compliance with the company’s terms and procedures and coordinating with stakeholders. You will also address invoice issues and supplier onboarding.

Qualifications

• Must have graduated and be able to communicate effectively in writing and speaking.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience working in a Supply Chain / procurement environment.
• Experience with ERP procurement processes is preferred (e.g., IFS).

Responsibilities

• Understand the overall purchasing process (PR-PO).
• Receive Purchase Requisitions and assess for accuracy and completeness.
• Clarify ambiguity in PR and translate into sourcing requirements.
• Identify suppliers capable of supplying goods/services and request quotes.
• Assess quotes against requirements; engage stakeholders; advise on preferred outcome; obtain approval.
• Update status and delivery timelines in trackers; provide updates and reports.
• Expedite late deliveries with suppliers; work with logistics for faster delivery options.
• Take ownership of follow-up on material discrepancy reports and close out timely.
• Manage and resolve payment and invoice issues with Finance and relevant parties.
• Assess and process new supplier applications.
• Familiarize and implement relevant commercial contracts for goods and services.
• Ensure compliance to Austal Philippines Commercial Terms & Conditions for all suppliers.
• Review all processed orders per assignment, close out and clean up in accordance with terms and project lifecycle.
