Job summary

Diales is seeking a Planning Engineer/Quantity Surveyor to join the Construction Project Advisory team. This full-time role, based in Singapore, focuses on planning, scheduling, and cost management for heavy engineering projects.

You will prepare budgets, monitor variances, and liaise with stakeholders to ensure timely delivery within budget. The role requires 3–5 years of relevant experience and professional qualifications such as RICS/AIQS.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or related discipline.
• Professional qualification such as RICS, AIQS or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of experience in planning engineering and/or quantity surveying on medium to large-scale projects.
• Proficiency in scheduling tools such as Primavera P6 or MS Project.
• Strong knowledge of cost estimation, budgeting and financial control procedures.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills with ability to handle complex data.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using industry-standard planning tools.
• Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and financial forecasts for projects.
• Monitor progress against schedules and budgets, reporting variances and risks.
• Conduct quantity surveying duties including measurement, valuation and cost analysis.
• Manage tender processes, including BOQ preparation and bid evaluation.
• Process variation orders, claims and change management documents.
• Liaise with clients, contractors and stakeholders for alignment on objectives.
• Maintain project records and financial reporting throughout the lifecycle.
• Provide cost and schedule advice to project teams.
