Job summary

Subsea Services Inc. is seeking a Quantity Surveyor Engineer to oversee project costs, quantities, estimates, billings, and contractual documentation, ensuring alignment with budgets and specifications.

The role supports cost estimation, quantity take-off, progress billing, variation orders, and overall project cost control across our projects in Pasay and Metro Manila, working closely with engineering, procurement, and site teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed quantity take-offs, estimates, BOQs, and cost estimates.
• Review project plans, drawings, contracts, specifications, and other technical documents to determine project quantities and cost requirements.
• Prepare and monitor project budgets, cost reports, and cost forecasts.
• Monitor actual project costs against approved budgets and identify cost variances.
• Prepare progress billings, accomplishment reports, and supporting documents for submission to clients.
• Verify quantities and work accomplishments at the project site in coordination with Project Engineers, Site Engineers, Supervisors, and other personnel.
• Evaluate and document variation orders, change orders, additional works, and claims.
• Review subcontractor and supplier quotations and assist in evaluating commercial proposals.
• Prepare comparison sheets for materials, equipment, manpower, subcontractors, and other project costs.
• Monitor material usage, equipment utilization, manpower costs, and other project-related expenses.
• Assist in the preparation and evaluation of subcontract agreements and purchase orders.
• Maintain accurate records of project quantities, costs, billings, variations, and contractual documents.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Finance, Operations, and Project Management regarding project cost matters.
• Conduct regular site visits to verify actual quantities and work progress.
• Assist in preparing final accounts, project close-out documents, and reconciliation of project costs.
• Identify potential cost overruns and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
• Ensure that all quantity and cost computations are accurate, properly documented, and supported by relevant records.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned by Management.
