Job summary

TMB Pte Ltd in the Philippines is seeking a commercially driven Quantity Surveyor to manage project costing, tender submissions, contract administration and business development for A&A, interior fit-out, and renovation projects.

You will work with Sales, Design and Project teams to prepare competitive proposals, control project costs and identify new business opportunities.

The role requires 3–7 years of relevant experience and strong costing, negotiation and Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
• 3–7 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying or related construction.
• Strong costing, tendering, contract administration and cost control knowledge.
• Good understanding of Singapore construction practices and market rates.
• Strong negotiation, analytical and commercial skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and relevant QS or costing software.
• Good communication, organisation and problem-solving abilities.
• Proactive, commercially minded and results-oriented.
• Able to work independently and collaborate across departments.

Responsibilities

• Prepare project cost estimates, Bills of Quantities (BQ), quotations and tender submissions.
• Review drawings, specifications and project requirements to assess costs and feasibility.
• Source, evaluate and negotiate quotations from contractors, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Monitor project budgets, costs, profit margins and overall profitability.
• Manage variation orders, progress claims and final accounts.
• Verify subcontractor claims and supplier invoices.
• Identify cost-saving and value-engineering opportunities.
• Maintain updated market rates for materials, labour and subcontractor works.
• Support projects from initial enquiry to project award and develop viable proposals.

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

Quantity Surveying & Commercial Management

• Prepare project cost estimates, Bills of Quantities (BQ), quotations and tender submissions.

• Review drawings, specifications and project requirements to assess costs and feasibility.

• Source, evaluate and negotiate quotations from contractors, subcontractors and suppliers.

• Monitor project budgets, costs, profit margins and overall profitability.

• Manage variation orders, progress claims and final accounts.

• Verify subcontractor claims and supplier invoices.

• Identify cost-saving and value-engineering opportunities.

• Maintain updated market rates for materials, labour and subcontractor works.

• Ensure proper documentation and accurate commercial records.

Business Management

• Support projects from initial enquiry and costing through to project award.

• Work closely with the Sales and Design teams to develop commercially viable proposals.

• Evaluate project budgets, scope, risks and profitability.

• Monitor the sales pipeline, quotation conversion rates and business performance.

• Identify opportunities for additional project scope and business growth.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers and industry partners.

• Support Management in pricing strategies, commercial planning and business development activities.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Building or a related discipline.

• At least 3-7 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying, construction, A&A, renovation or interior fit-out projects.

• Strong knowledge of costing, tendering, contract administration and project cost control.

• Good understanding of Singapore construction practices and market rates.

• Strong negotiation, analytical and commercial skills.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and relevant QS or costing software.

• Good communication, organisation and problem-solving abilities.
