Design and Technical Development
Provide input on design aspects to create cost-efficient proposals, liaising with design teams and reviewing plans for cost implications.
Conceptualizes designs across project phases, including gathering information, calculations, preparation of drawings and technical specifications, and writing of technical reports as far as the discipline is concerned
Develop and refine engineering designs, drawings, and project specifications.
Review design plans to ensure accuracy, feasibility, and alignment with project requirements.
Conduct technical evaluations and recommend design improvements or alternative solutions.
Ensure all designs comply with industry standards, safety codes, and company guidelines.
Prepare detailed cost estimates, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontracting.
Analyze project specifications and drawings to determine cost drivers and potential risks.
Conduct cost benchmarking and price analysis using updated market data.
Propose value engineering options to optimize design and reduce costs without compromising quality.
Develops and prepares unit cost of all services, activities, equipment and materials by using historical data, current pricing policies and regulations (wage orders, Consumer Price Index, inflation rate, foreign exchange rates) in the locality where the expense will be incurred in order to ensure accuracy of estimates to be used for project budget approval.
Prepares variance analysis during bidding by comparing the UPA developed internally against the contractor’s UPA or proposal to ensure cost prepared by the contractor is accurate and compliance to estimating guidelines.
Documentation and Reporting
Prepare and maintain design documents, cost summaries, BOQs, and technical reports.
Track cost changes due to design revisions and prepare updated costing sheets.
Ensure proper documentation and filing of all design and costing records.

Graduate of any Engineering course
With at least 5-years actual work experience in quantity surveying and with construction or project management work related experience
Experience in cost planning, bill of quantities, pre-tender estimates, commercial management and project post contract
