Job summary
Planet Sports Inc. is seeking a seasoned Merchandising Manager to oversee product assortment, buying strategies, and merchandise performance in Metro Manila. You will curate assortments, optimize mix, and ensure strategies align with market demand and business goals.
You will partner with brand principals and suppliers, analyze sales trends, and drive key KPIs such as growth and gross margin while supporting launches with Marketing and Visual Merchandising teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business or related field.
- Experience in merchandising, buying, or product management in sportswear or fashion retail.
- Strong analytical and commercial skills.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute buying strategies based on sales and demand.
- Manage seasonal assortments aligned with brand and goals.
- Analyze performance, trends, and profitability for action.
- Monitor market trends and competitors to guide buying.
- Collaborate with suppliers on selection, orders, launches.
- Identify best sellers and underperformers; plan replenishment.
- Coordinate with Merch Planning on forecasts and inventory.
- Support launches with Marketing/VM teams.
- Prepare assortments for wholesale shows.
- Drive KPIs: sales, margin, sell-through, markdowns.
