Job summary

Pontefino Hotel and Residences is looking for a sales professional to develop and maintain client accounts, present proposals, and coordinate room and banquet bookings. The role involves presenting hotel facilities, ensuring policy adherence, and driving revenue through proactive client engagement.

The ideal candidate will manage end-to-end sales processes, maintain client records, and contribute to weekly Sales & Marketing meetings.

Responsibilities

• Familiarizes herself with the hotel’s room rates, amenities, facilities and services available to guests.
• Develops and maintain new and existing accounts by planning and scheduling sales calls to solicit business for the hotel.
• Prepares and submits proposals/quotations/contracts to clients interested to book in the hotel.
• Complies with all established hotel policies and procedures on room bookings, informs clients of hotel policies on booking requirements (e.g. Rooming List, Letter of Accommodation, etc.) to avoid future problems or concerns.
• Accepts room and banquet booking from and coordinates with Front Office or F&B for banquet functions.
• Prepares a contract to document a rate granted to and agreed upon with the client. Ensures that the Sales Head and the client sign the contract.
• Entertains/Ocular prospective clients at the hotel’s F&B outlets to promote goodwill and solicit business for the hotel.
• Shows the guest rooms and facilities of the hotel to prospective clients upon their request.
• Request for prior approval from Finance Director/Accounting Manager for client’s payment terms, which is inconsistent with the hotel’s credit policies.
• Maintains regular contact with existing clients through personal visits, telephone calls to ensure productive accounts.
• Maintains an update list of clients containing information such as address, telephone numbers, contact person, email address, birthdays and other pertinent data.
• Investigates client’s complaints on guest rooms, facilities, food and services.
• Elevates major problems/complaints to superior for appropriate action.
• Entertains phone inquiries from prospective clients about the hotel’s guest rooms and facilities.
• Strives to achieve her target production or room sales and banquets assigned by superior/s.
• Prepares and submits to the Sales Head all sales call reports (Itineraries and Activities) or any reports that is required by the Sales Head.
• Recommends to superior specific action plans and sales strategies to increase room and banquet bookings.
• Attends and participates actively in the weekly Sales & Marketing Meeting and other meetings where presence is required.
• Distributes hotel giveaways to clients for goodwill purposes.
• Performs other duties as may be assigned by superior/s.
