Job summary

V.Group is seeking a Recruitment Officer to proactively plan and execute end-to-end hiring for Leisure and offshore staffing. You will source candidates through databases, channels, and social media, maintain records, and coordinate interviews and verifications.

The role requires in-house recruitment experience, knowledge of shipping regulations, and strong networking abilities, with a fast-paced, high-urgency work style.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher is required.
• In-house recruitment experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of international shipping conventions and regulations (STCW/MLC 2006) is desirable.
• Basic Maritime geography and visa procedures knowledge is a plus.
• Direct sourcing and networking experience is essential.
• Strong ability to assess and select top talent.
• Ability to work with urgency and switch priorities quickly.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement short-, middle-, and long-term recruitment strategies under supervision.
• Source candidates via internal databases, approved channels, platforms, and social media.
• Maintain contact with current and former Officers and market candidates.
• Expand talent pool through networking and advertising.
• Support local and international recruitment events to attract candidates.
• Keep recruitment records accurate and up-to-date, including availability, wage expectations, and competencies.
• Coordinate screening, tests, interviews, verifications, and background checks.
• Submit compliant candidate proposals to Planners and CMMs and track status through joined offers.
• Attend team meetings and assist onboarding of new recruiters.
