Job summary

MR DIY Philippines seeks a General Accounting and Reporting Manager to oversee accurate financial records, month-end close, and reporting. You will manage GL, prepare financial statements, and ensure compliance with GAAP/IFRS and local tax laws.

You will train staff, support audits, and drive process improvements in a fast-paced retail environment. Strong Excel and cross-functional collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required.
• At least 5 years of accounting or financial reporting experience.
• CPA or progress toward CPA is a plus.
• Experience with GL, month-end close, and financial reporting.
• Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP/Oracle/NetSuite) a plus.
• Strong Excel skills and financial analysis capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review journal entries in line with accounting standards.
• Support month-end and year-end close with GL reconciliations.
• Monitor transactions for accuracy and compliance.
• Prepare balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
• Perform variance analysis and consolidate data.
• Assist internal/external audits and maintain controls.
• Train and mentor junior staff; collaborate across functions.
• Participate in process improvement and system updates.
