Job summary

vamasters, Inc. is expanding its trucking operations and seeks an experienced Truck Dispatcher to manage the full dispatch cycle for US carriers from a remote setting.

You will locate profitable loads, negotiate with brokers, and ensure delivery through to payment while coordinating with drivers for smooth operations. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with DAT/Truckstop.com, strong English communication, and a proven ability to manage quoting, paperwork, and post-delivery invoicing.

Qualifications

• Solid track record as a truck dispatcher for US carriers.
• Direct experience with load boards such as DAT or Truckstop.com.
• Strong skills negotiating rates with freight brokers.
• Ability to calculate rate per mile and judge lane profitability, including deadhead and fuel costs.
• Sound knowledge of rate confirmations, BOLs, PODs, and carrier packets.
• Excellent spoken English and confidence handling live broker calls.
• Experience with load tracking, check calls, and freight invoicing.
• Conscientious, thorough, and able to self-manage.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to make sound calls quickly.

Responsibilities

• Search load boards such as DAT and Truckstop.com to keep the truck booked without gaps.
• Weigh lane profitability by calculating rate per mile, deadhead, fuel costs, and next-load potential before booking.
• Negotiate rates with brokers to get the best possible pay on every load.
• Book loads and lock in pickup and delivery details with brokers and shippers.
• Pick up and manage inbound broker calls on the driver's behalf while he is on the road.
• Run check calls and follow loads in transit, keeping brokers updated on status in a timely way.
• Verify rate confirmations for accuracy before sign-off, and look after BOLs and other load documents.
• Complete carrier packets and broker setup paperwork.
• Collect and file post-delivery paperwork, including signed BOLs and PODs.
• Send invoices promptly after delivery and chase them to ensure on-time payment.
