Qualifications

• Proven experience as a truck dispatcher for US carriers.
• Hands-on experience with load boards such as DAT or Truckstop.com.
• Strong rate negotiation skills with freight brokers.
• Ability to calculate rate per mile and evaluate lane profitability.
• Working knowledge of rate confirmations, BOLs, PODs, and carrier packets.
• Excellent spoken English and confidence handling live broker calls.
• Experience with load tracking and freight invoicing.

Responsibilities

• Source loads on load boards to keep the truck booked
• Evaluate lane profitability by rate per mile, deadhead, fuel costs
• Negotiate rates with brokers to maximize pay
• Book loads and confirm pickup/delivery with brokers
• Answer inbound broker calls while driver is on the road
• Track loads in transit and provide status updates
• Review rate confirmations and manage BOLs/PODs
• Complete carrier packets and broker setup
• Collect post-delivery paperwork and invoices
