Job summary

SM Retail Inc. in the Philippines seeks an experienced finance professional to lead planning, budgeting and forecasting across business units. You will collaborate with BU leaders to align plans with management expectations, finalizing presentation packs with insights.

The role covers performance measurement, cost control, governance, and reporting. You will sign off statutory and group reporting, coordinate with Tax to optimize the tax position, and oversee audits while maintaining risk

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or any business-related course (advantage)
CPA/CFA/CMA/CIMA certifications are advantageous

Responsibilities

Cascade budget targets to business units and finalize plan packs with insights
Prepare plans/budgets/forecasts with BU leadership and align with management expectations
Identify funding requirements for endorsement to RA Cluster Controller and BU heads
Track performance vs plans; analyze reports and benchmarks
Drive cost controllership and optimize spend
Support BU with multi-dimensional analysis for strategic decisions (opening/closing stores, capex, new channels/products)
Sign-off statutory, regulatory reporting and group reporting
Work with Tax to optimize revenue/spend tax position
Communicate and monitor compliance to Finance policies across BUs
Manage financial risk per company policies
Oversee internal and external audits
