Job summary

Nissan Mexican operations are seeking a Senior Manager of Corporate Communications (External Communications) to shape executive messaging and strengthen the company’s reputation in Mexico. You will lead external communications, content development, and execution in collaboration with senior leaders and cross-functional teams.

The role involves directing media engagement, crisis communication, and high-visibility campaigns, reporting to the Corporate Communications Deputy Director.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in external communications and corporate storytelling.
• Proven ability to partner directly with senior leadership stakeholders (C-level exposure).
• Solid experience in crisis and reputation management.
• Excellent writing and communication skills in English and Spanish (AP style preferred).
• Strong media relations and strategic communications experience.
• Experience managing agencies and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute external and corporate communications strategies aligned with global and regional narratives.
• Create and manage high-quality content (press releases, executive briefings, speeches, presentations).
• Support senior executives in thought leadership, media interactions, and external engagements.
• Lead and coordinate corporate and product-related events.
• Develop and manage the strategic editorial calendar.
• Act as spokesperson when required.
• Lead crisis and issues management communications, including mitigation strategies and response planning.
• Drive campaigns aligned with Marketing & Sales strategy.
