Job summary

SMEDD Corp. seeks an experienced Civil Engineer to lead budget-related activities for development projects in Metro Manila. You will participate in pre-construction meetings, review initial budgets, and validate detailed budgets for approvals, while guiding risk and cost controls.

The role requires 5+ years of relevant experience, a professional license, and strong English communication. Proficiency in MS Office and leadership capabilities are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Professional license relevant to the field.
• Minimum of 5 years related experience.
• Master’s degree is an advantage.
• COSH certification is an advantage.
• Proficient in English communication and writing.
• Skilled in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong presentation and communication skills.
• Analytical and logical thinking.

Responsibilities

• Project initiation tasks including rate cards and budget reviews.
• Assist in budget preparation and cost tracking for projects.
• Review detailed budgets prior to approval.
• Support cost control through budget movement analysis.
• Participate in audits and report findings.
• Review parametric costs for mall development and redevelopment.
• Identify and mitigate project risks and issues.
• Utilize SAP/MTWO for data creation and uploads.
• Draft and implement policy and process improvements.
• Supervise day-to-day activities of direct reports.
