Job summary

East West Banking Corporation in Taguig seeks a transformational AI Governance Head to lead the bank's end-to-end AI governance strategy. You will design and execute policies covering RPA, ML, LLMs, and third-party AI, ensuring safe, ethical, and compliant use of AI aligned with BSP regulations and data privacy standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree an advantage.
• Certifications in risk management, compliance, data privacy, or AI ethics are a plus.
• Extensive experience in banking, risk management, IT governance or data governance with AI/ML governance exposure.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the Bank's AI governance framework, policies, standards, and controls for RPA, ML, LLMs and third-party AI.
• Establish AI risk assessment and mitigation frameworks addressing model risk, bias, privacy, cybersecurity, and third-party risks.
• Oversee AI lifecycle governance from use-case intake to validation, deployment approval, and post-implementation monitoring.
• Define standards for model documentation, testing, explainability, human oversight, and control mechanisms.
• Build AI governance capabilities via training, playbooks, templates, and governance processes.
• Collaborate with Risk, Compliance, IT, Data, Cybersecurity, Legal, Procurement, and business stakeholders to ensure regulatory compliance.
